Trail Consultancy Services

In addition to our experience in constructing trails, we have provided expert industry knowledge to a range of clients and associations to justify further expenditure and successfully obtain grant funding, to create clubs and establish trail networks all across eastern Australia. Our work has focused on desktop analysis and background research, on ground scoping and trail verification and reporting based on international guidelines and Australian Standards. Our work has attracted hundreds of thousands of dollars grant funding and lead to significant investment from government agencies to build and maintain some of Australia’s most well-loved trails. With our extensive experience we are able make your ideas a reality and deliver an end to end solution that meets the needs of your community.

Design

Project: Ingleburn Reserve MTB Loop Trail Design

Client: Campbelltown City Council, NSW

Budget: $12,000

Timeframe: September 2021

Description:

We were commissioned by the Campbelltown City Council to design a trail that was suitable for families and all skill levels, but allowed progression for riders to build their skills. The trail design included on ground scoping amongst sensitive vegetation including koala habitat and Cumberland Plain Land Snail and including working with Council's ecologist. The trail design provided for multiple dirt and timber features to create a diverse trail experience to engage people in mountain biking and the environment. Being Council's first trail, it was essential that we worked closely with them to scope and design to ensure it met the needs of their community.

Project: Woolgoolga MTB Club Feasibility Study

Client: Woolgoolga MTB Club, Woolgoolga, NSW

Budget: $10,000

Timeframe: November 2020

Description:

We were commissioned by Woolgoolga MTB Club to develop a feasibility study to assist the club to become an incorporated organisation and to provide the corner stone in making the club and Woolgoolga MTB trails an official network. We provided our services to design the trail network and proposed structure of the club and provided detailed cost estimates as assistance to enable the club to successfully obtain their first grants under NSW Government grant programs. Since then, the Woolgoolga MTB trails have obtained over $300,000 in funding and have a club with membership of over 200 members, all built upon the early work we delivered. Today the Woolgoolga MTB trails are a must visit mountain bike destination on the north coast of NSW with a club that is going from strength to strength.

Project: Kempsey MTB Club Feasibility Study

Client: Kempsey MTB Club, Woolgoolga, NSW

Budget: $4,000

Timeframe: December 2020

Description:

We were commissioned by the Kempsey MTB Club to develop a trail feasibility assessment to justify funding under the NSW Government grant program they were applying for to deliver a new flow trail. The feasibility study considered the types of trails available in the surrounding area, the current usage of the MTB bike and existing trails and consultation with members to determine their needs an aspiration. The club were successful in their grant application as a result of our study, and we were also appointed a lead contractor to build the new flow trail.
